Trip Avis is a freelance writer, interviewer, and musician based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.

I currently serve on the editorial team at Mission Magazine, a philanthropic media brand founded to harness the power of fashion and the fashion industry to support important causes.

Since childhood, I’ve appreciated storytelling's unifying, communal power as both reader and writer. I had the opportunity to build upon that passion at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I received a B.A. in English, Creative Writing. I’ve since received an M.S. in Publishing at New York University, and I look forward to forging a fruitful and rewarding career in the writing and art industries.

I recently worked as a writing intern at Musée Magazine, a photography and arts publication, where I wrote over sixty reviews, ran the weekly Photojournal Monday column, and conducted interviews with diverse, exciting figures in photography.

My past work experience includes a marketing internship at the Center for Fiction, where I performed media outreach and drafted event copy.

I’ve also written freelance for Hamptons Magazine and am currently working on a novel.
